We have more variety of fungus here than I have ever seen in my life. It took two years of caring for this farm to spot our first but now it seems I am shocked by some new growth on a weekly basis.
To be honest with you, until I started working for the council I don’t think I had ever actually seen any fungi… EVER in the wild.
After that I started noticing them… In about the 4th year I started making notes and taking photos of them all. In one park, over the year we had about 10 types.
Its amazing what you notice when you stop and look!

Mushroom, but golf balls are pretty common all over this place.

It seems pretty spiky for a fungi.. Most fungi I see are slick and smooth.
